LAS VEGAS – It may still feel like summer, but the school year begins for Faith Lutheran Middle School sixth-graders Monday, August 7, with a red carpet rollout!
Faculty, administrators and staff will line the school’s entrance along Homestretch Drive in Summerlin at 7:45 a.m. to welcome Faith Lutheran’s newest students back to campus. Once they arrive, the sixth-graders, called Newsaders, will have their picture taken on the red carpet while Faith Lutheran cheerleaders get the students revved up for their new adventure.
The half-day orientation ends at noon with a ‘Chip, Chip Hooray’ celebration. Sponsored by the school’s advancement department, the students receive a proper first day send off with pom poms, a smile and a wave from the cookie mascot and a chocolate chip cookie for the ride home.
The first day of school for all Faith Lutheran students is Tuesday, August 8.
